We explored how built design on campus might influence student health. Students on campus were taking alternative or easily available modes of transport. Students who are more aware of physical benefits took the stairs or chose to walk.
Escalator or stairs? Located inside the Student Center East building at the University of Illinois at Chicago are the 2 options available to students to get to the second floor. There are also elevators not pictured.
Why not bike? Located outside of the Science and Engineering Labs building on the east campus of UIC there are bikes found locked up to the racks and one to the railing.
CTA, yay or nay? Located on Taylor and Morgan streets at UIC there are various bus options for students to use to navigate around campus. There is also the option of simply walking if one chooses to do so.
