What made you choose this study abroad course?

Everything, really! The location, the program title, the faculty-leader and more. This opportunity is perfect for my professional and personal goals. I am learning Spanish, I am studying Movement and Nutrition and working with JCL is something I’m excited to do before graduating from UIC.

What are your goals for your study abroad experience?

I want to marry the experience I have in this country to hopefully birth a new foundation of hope in my home country.  I  want to learn meaningful, healthy habits that can transfer over to Chicago. I expect to give 110% to this program and give ample time to study thoroughly and complete assignments. I also plan to celebrate the cultural experiences I have of living in a new country.  I believe knowledge is power. So as I come in/go out of this program I want to take a piece of Barcelona with me and apply it to my life.

At the end of the program, what memory do you plan to take with you?

To be determined…

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy many things. I am a foodie so I love to play around with spices and creating recipes. I enjoy group physical activities like bowling and spikeball. I’m interested in faith and youth organization. I’m also a big fan of college Volleyball and sweet potato pie!

What is a fun fact not many people know about you?

I can speak in at least 5 different accents 🙂
